Hello Everyone,

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Family Financial Literacy Fair sponsored by the Nassau County Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.  It was a huge success and a fun day filled with music, games and entertainment.  It was great seeing everyone engaged at the various tables educating themselves on financial literacy and how to make smart decisions with their money.  We want to give a special thank you to NYSSCPAs Nassau Chapter president Scott Sanders for supporting our fair. Family financial literacy fair 3/2/13

March 5, 2013

Walter the Vault had a special appearance at the Family Financial Literacy Fair on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 from 10am-1pm at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library, Dix Hills, New York. About 130 families participated at the fair encouraging children and families to learn about financial literacy.

There were a number of booths and activities for children of all ages including writing a check at a bank, playing supermarket, ordering at a drive through food establishment, designing a bank, creating money origami, learning basic money terms, and much more. A popular booth was Walter the Vault, teaching children about allowance, saving money and how to unlock your dreams by answering what you want to be when you grow up. READ MORE
